Lisa graduated from Northern Illinois University with her B.S. in Communication Disorders and from Tennessee State University with her M.S. in Speech Language Pathology. Prior to Bright Skies, she owned a thriving pediatric clinic in Alabama before moving to Colorado to be closer to family. Settling in Severance, CO, with her husband and two sons, Lisa wanted to continue helping children and families and opened the first Bright Skies Therapy Center office in Windsor. Lisa has broad experience working in a variety of settings including hospitals, nursing homes, and home health, however, her passion is working in private practice with the pediatric population.

Vivian comes to us with 15 years of office experience in the medical field and is excited to be part of the Bright Skies team. She values the importance of patient care and looks forward to greeting each patient with a contagious smile and welcoming spirit. She’s eager to help wherever needed, whether it’s scheduling appointments, updating information, or answering questions. Vivian is married and loves to spend time with her three girls.

Jeff graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with a major in Psychology. After graduating, he spent three years with the Minneapolis Public Schools as a Special Education Assistant working with Early Childhood Special Education. This is where Jeff discovered his passion for working with and empowering children with disabilities. He returned to school and received his Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Saint Scholastica in 2020. Jeff spent two years working for an outpatient pediatric clinic in Fairbanks, Alaska before relocating to Fort Collins in 2023. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, traveling, and playing with his dog Sunshine and cat Smooshie.

Misty graduated with a degree in Applied Sciences / Occupational Therapy Assistant Program in 1998 from Arapahoe Community College. Prior to graduation, she completed a mini internship in Nicaragua working with families, teachers, and other therapists from the area. Having lived in Northern Colorado most of her life, Misty’s first job was working for Aurora Public Schools for 4 1/2 years before spending a year in North Carolina working in a pediatric sensory gym/clinic. After moving back to Colorado, she spent time as a stay at home mom until joining the St. Vrain Valley Schools as a special education para. Misty has always had a passion for working with children. After 10 years in the school, she decided to move back to Occupational Therapy and is excited to be working at Bright Skies in a clinic setting. In her free time she likes to camp, ski, and ride her new e-bike.

Danielle graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 2021 with her B.S. in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology and in 2023 with her M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology. Danielle enjoys working with children to reach speech/ language developmental milestones, as well as provide therapeutic interventions to treat motor speech disorders (Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Dysarthria). She is passionate about working alongside families to provide strength based therapy and support each child’s individual goals and needs. Danielle was born and raised in Northern Colorado and is excited to work with local families. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors (on the lake), spending time with family and friends, and trying new foods.

Sarah grew up in Southern California. She received her Master’s Degree at the University of Wyoming in 2023, and brings experience across the lifespan in various settings, such as schools, clinics, and hospitals. Her passion lies with working with children and helping them reach their communication goals, as it makes all the hard work exciting and rewarding when they meet their milestones. Outside of work, she enjoys rock climbing, hiking, camping, cooking, and film photography.

Connie began work as an occupational therapist in 1992 in the New Mexico Public schools. In 2003, she moved to Arizona where she spent two years at the Children’s Center for Neurodevelopmental Studies under the mentorship of the late Lorna Jean King, OT. She also spent time in the public school system and provided center and home based therapy until 2012 when she moved to California. Connie moved to Colorado in 2021 where she says she intends to stay! Connie’s varied caseload history includes children diagnosed with Autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, developmental delays, learning disabilities, sensory processing disorder, and resulting behavior challenges, as well as visual-motor/perceptual and visual-perceptual difficulties. Since 2014, her work has focused on providing services for infants and toddlers in the home as well as center based early intervention setting.
Amy Muniz

Amy has been an integral part of Bright Skies Therapy Center since its inception. From helping with initial construction to managing billing, she has provided project and operational assistance as our clinic has continued to grow. Amy is currently overseeing daily operations and patient services as the Office Manager for our Windsor, Greeley, and Timnath locations.

Elise graduated from Colorado State University in May of 2020 with her B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies and from the University of New England in May of 2023 with her M.S. in Occupational Therapy. Elise discovered her passion for working with children after spending a summer as a camp counselor for individuals with disabilities, assisting with inclusivity, fostering connection between kids and their environment, and promoting engagement in new and exciting therapeutic activities. Elise loves to build others up and enjoys finding creative ways to assist each child with reaching their occupational goals! Outside of work, she enjoys reading, hiking, camping, painting, cooking, and making clay earrings with her friends and family.

Heidi graduated from California State University, Fullerton with her Bachelor’s in Communicative Disorders. She has previous experience in cognitive tutoring, implementing brain training strategies, and applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy. Heidi moved to Colorado in 2022 to spend more time outdoors backpacking, paddle boarding, and skiing. Heidi is excited to work with each client and help them reach their communication goals.

Frieda Embry graduated in May 2023 from the University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelor’s in Audiology and Speech Language Sciences. Her passion for working with children began at a young age. Changing the lives of children one day at a time is very important to her and she loves being able to witness how much each child grows in just a short amount of time. Having a stutter herself since the age of 5, Frieda Embry hopes she can be just as impactful to her patients as the speech therapists who helped her. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, baking, singing, fishing with her boyfriend, and dancing. She looks forward to working with each child and helping them to be the best that they can be with their language skills.

Camryn was born and raised in Colorado and went to University of Wyoming to get her B.A. in Speech Language & Hearing Sciences. She has always had a passion for serving the community like Christ did and making a difference in the lives of children. She loves to spend time with her husband and family in the outdoors riding her motorcycle and dirtbike, playing softball, hiking, driving her Jeep, and playing disc golf. She loves being part of the Bright Skies team and is excited to continue to grow as a therapist to better impact those around her.

Olivia graduated in 2022 from Utah State University with her B.S. in Communicative Disorders and Deaf Education. She brings experience working with children, teens, and adults with physical and behavioral disabilities. However, she is passionate about helping children with communication needs reach their goals and especially enjoys treating speech sound disorders. She has been learning American Sign Language, which has been beneficial in her work as an SLPA, and aspires to go back to school to get her M.S. in Speech Language Pathology. She hopes to help children overcome their speech challenges with fun and engaging therapy. Outside of work she loves to bake, run, read, and hike with her husband and their two daughters.

Bailey graduated in May 2016 from Texas Woman’s University with her Bachelor’s in Communication Disorders and in December of 2019 from Texas Woman’s University with her Master’s in Speech Language Pathology. Bailey enjoys helping children reach development milestones by implementing fun therapeutic interventions. Bailey has had training with a variety of patient populations including pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. However, her passion is working with children and their families in Northern Colorado.
